Curatorial Concept策展理念

The 2026 Formosa North Coast Art Festival, themed "Rhythm of Tide: Dance of Light and Fire," adopts the "river basin" as its core curatorial and spatial thread, aiming to rethink the relationship between humanity, nature, and locality. Moving beyond a conventional layout restricted to the coastline, this year's festival traces rivers, settlements, mountain-to-sea pathways, and cultural contexts, guiding artistic routes deeper into inland areas and the spaces of daily life.
"Rhythm of Tide" represents more than just the sound of crashing waves; it is a resonance between vital human energy and the forces of nature, where the "Rhythm" echoes local culture and collective emotion. Through light, shadow, sound installations, performances, and interactive experiences, artists translate these invisible energies to respond to the profound geological forces and spiritual symbols of the North Coast. Rather than remaining passive observers, visitors are invited to truly step into these sites—delving into the community to experience the multifaceted natural and cultural landscape of the North Coast, while feeling the temperature, rhythm, and vitality released by the land.
